An original ‘journey in sound’ that charts the ‘round-the-world travels of a viol quartet aboard Francis Drake’s Golden Hinde, from 1577to 1580. 16th century tunes weave through new music by Orlando Gough that recall Drake’s exotic ports of call from Morocco and Java to Cape Verde and Sierra Leone.
